Tom Cotton, US Senator from Arkansas
Early Life and Education
Tom Cotton was born on May 13, 1977, in Dardanelle, Arkansas. He graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, where he served as the president of the Federalist Society.
Military and Political Career
Cotton served as an infantry officer in the United States Army during the Iraq War. After his military service, he was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2012, representing Arkansas's 4th Congressional District.
In 2014, Cotton was elected to the US Senate, where he has served since 2015. He is a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the Banking Committee.
